How to Get Help
To qualify for financial assistance from OHH, applicants must:
- live and/or work within the greater Houston area, which includes Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller counties
- have earned at least 75% of current or last five years of income from the exploration and production side of the oilfield.
All applications must be submitted by an active member. Anyone can request that an "active member" sponsor a family in need; however, the application must be presented by an active member. An active member is someone that actively participates in OHH fund-raising events and attends monthly meetings. The criterion for an active member is attending at least four monthly meetings within a single calendar year and volunteering for at least two events during a single calendar year.
